Havas said last week it has asked shareholder Vincent Bolloré to confirm his intention to nominate candidates to the company’s board of directors. Bolloré in December said he would seek seats on the board of the Paris-based holding company, in which he holds an estimated 22 percent stake. Bollore has said he has no immediate plan for a takeover. Sources called the statement an effort by Havas to force Bolloré to show his hand.
