BOSTON-Havas Advertising had added EMDS, a recruitment firm specializing in early career professionals, to its Diversified Agencies Group. Terms were not disclosed.

In March, Havas will launch a new unit specializing in job recruitment. The entity, which has yet to be named, will consist of EMDS offices in 17 countries, including the U.S.; as well as Havas' Euro RSCG Futurs and The Link, both in France; and U.K. agency Riley.

The combined entity will have about 700 employees and gross annual revenue of about $58 million. The group will specialize in job fairs, candidate search and selection and Internet solutions for recruiting and retaining talent. Havas will be the majority owner of the unit, to be headquartered in Brussels.

"Human resources are a priority development sector," said Jean-Michel Carlo, vice chairman of Havas and chief executive of its Diversified Agencies Group. "At a time when recruiting and human capital management activities are increasingly seen as crucial business issues, we are particularly satisfied with this agreement."
