Harpell Adds 2 Software Clients

Harpell/Martins & Co. has picked up a pair of technology accounts worth more than $1 million in combined billings.
The Maynard, Mass., agency has been tapped by business software marketers Infinium Software in Hyannis, Mass., and QueryObject Systems in Uniondale, N.Y.
Infinium selected Harpell/Martins after an informal review of undisclosed agencies. The client had previously worked with various shops on a project basis.
The agency's first work for Infinium will include a print campaign in vertical technology publications and Web banner advertising. The ads will break this month and support the client's financial, human resources, materials management and manufacturing applications designed for small and midsized companies. Media duties are being handled by Carat Freeman in Newton, Mass.
Harpell/Martins was chosen as QueryObject's first agency through a prior association with the company's executive vice president of marketing, Bob Thompson, who worked with the shop a few years ago when he held a similar post with Cognos.
Harpell/Martins has already completed one project for QueryObject: renaming the brand from CrossZ Software, which continues as the name of QueryObject's parent company. The agency has designed the client's Web site and is in the process of creating online ads that will link to that site. No media advertising is planned, but a public relations program that includes speaker placement, trade show support and investor relations services is under way from Harpell/Martins.
Aimed at telecommunications and computer networking companies, QueryObject's software lets users access and manipulate complex information stored in databases.
