Harley-Davidson, the motorcycle company, and Staples, the office supplies retailer, have been elected to the Marketing Hall of Fame for doing “an outstanding job of building and sustaining their brands through smart marketing,” according to the New York American Marketing Association.

The association, which sponsors the hall, said Harley-Davidson was honored in the “classic brand” category, Staples in the “current brand” category.
