Describing its approach to the review as “coming in under the radar,” O’Connor Kenny Partners last week was named to handle a summer marketing program for Hard Rock Cafe International.
Billings for the assignment are estimated at $4-6 million.
O’Connor Kenny in Memphis, Tenn., bested at least one other shop for the business, Atlanta’s Fountainhead Advertising. At one time, Wieden & Kennedy of Portland, Ore., was involved, but then opted out of the review.
Agency president and executive creative director Charles Kenny said he did not know the identities of the shops he was competing against.
