The relationship between Arnold Communications and Fleet Financial Group may have entered a new phase last week when executive vice president Pam Hamlin was tapped to head up account service on the $40 million account.
Hamlin in August will succeed executive vice president Denise Johnson, who said she is leaving the Boston agency to pursue a position at an out-of-region financial services company. She did not elaborate.
Hamlin’s ascendency on the account is viewed by those close to Arnold as a positive development since Fleet marketing officials Anne Finucane and Betsy Richardson suggested that she be placed on the business.
Hamlin and Richardson both serve on the Advertising Club of Greater Boston’s executive committee.
