Hallmark’s retail marketing division is talking to agencies about its trade advertising and retail promotions account, according to sources.

The account, currently at hometown shop Valentine Radford in Kansas City, Mo., involves creating Hallmark’s support materials for mass retailers and trade advertising for the company’s Gold Crown stores, sources said.

The greeting card company’s estimated $90 million consumer advertising account, currently at Leo Burnett in Chicago, is not affected by the review.

Thought to be pitching the business are Kansas City shops Barkley Evergreen & Partners and Bernstein-Rein Advertising, sources said.
