Three finalists have emerged in the review for 7-Elev-en’s $25-30 million advertising account, sources said last week.

Contenders advancing to the final round are GSD&M in Austin, Texas, and Deutsch and Wieden + Kennedy, both New York.

Shops that did not make the cut include Fallon in Minneapolis and TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York.

The Richards Group of Dallas, which had previously handled some of 7-Eleven’s business, dropped out of the review late last month.

Dana Manley, a representative of the Dallas-based convenience store chain, declined comment on the selection of finalists.

Sources said the finalists are preparing for last-round presentations to be held in January.
