NEW YORK Chris Hirst is joining Grey London as managing director, the agency said. A former director of client services at Publicis Groupe's Fallon in London, Hirst will join Grey some time in the next three months.

Hirst will report to Grey London's CEO Garry Lace, who recently put together a team that includes creative director Dave Alberts, executive planning director Dylan Williams and new business director Nicola Mendelsohn.

Hirst, 32, has worked on such accounts as the BBC, Skoda and Sony. His other agency experience includes BBH and the former SP Lintas, both London.

In a statement, Lace said, "Chris is smart and passionate with huge amounts of energy. He makes things happen. I tried to hire him last year at TBWA and he turned me down - which make his arrival even sweeter."

Grey London's clients include Procter & Gamble, Masterfoods, Visa's Central Europe, Middle East and Africa account, Dairy Crest, and Nokia's N-Gage phone game, which it landed last week.
