ATLANTA Grey's 25-person office here has a new president and CCO: Stephen Ward, named to succeed Mark Goldman, who left this month to become president and CEO of Atlanta-based Housewarmers. Joel Babbit remains chairman of Grey Atlanta.
Ward was most recently an ecd at Grey in New York, a post he held since last year. He has also held senior creative positions at McCann Erickson, TBWA and Modem Media, mainly overseas. Ward has also worked as a screenwriter, and his credits include the feature film Backbeat.
"Stephen Ward is going to be an outstanding leader for Grey Atlanta, a terrific partner to Joel in serving our clients and a welcome addition to Atlanta's advertising community," said Jim Heekin, CEO of Grey Global Group, in a statement. "His promotion represents another step forward in Grey's revitalization. Stephen's track record for delivering award-winning breakthrough branding ideas in all channels will add a new dimension to our creative offering."
Ward said, "I am delighted to join Grey Atlanta and continue helping Jim Heekin steer the agency's transformation which is well underway across our global network."
