“Escape.” “Log off.” “Take flight.” In other words, be a kid again, leave reality behind and fly away.

The Zimmerman Agency’s $15 million advertising campaign for the Our Lucaya resort on Grand Bahama Island makes it look that easy.

The getaway’s outdoor advertising plays off the hectic life of New York. The effort includes buses adorned with dolphin fins and corner wraps in Manhattan’s Times Square.

The Zimmerman Agency, located in Tallahassee, Fla., will also be getting the message across during prime time on such venues as ABC’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and the upcoming Australia-based Survivor on CBS.

Not surprisingly, the interactive aspect of the campaign includes five live Web cameras on the Caribbean island.

“This campaign is not traditional advertising as we know it,” said agency principal Curtis Zimmerman.
