Goodby, Silverstein & Partners breaks a campaign for Goodyear tomorrow using unusual road hazards to demonstrate the technological advancements of its tires.

It is the first work this year for the Akron, Ohio, client and a continuing evolution of the “On the wings of Goodyear” campaign begun by the San Francisco agency in September 2001. (Goodby won the business in April of that year.) The effort will run through 2003.

One spot, titled “Balls,” shows a driver’s worst nightmare: Rubber balls of all colors bounce onscreen, a car appears on a suburban street, and suddenly the street fills with kids chasing the balls.
