CHICAGO Goodyear has identified six contenders in the review for creative duties on its $80 million account, a company representative said.
They are: Interpublic Group's Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va., and the New York and Detroit offices of McCann Erickson; Publicis Groupe's Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi, both in New York; and Havas' Euro RSCG in New York, according to the rep.
The Akron, Ohio-basd company expects to have a new agency in place "sometime during the fourth quarter," the rep said. He couldn't say whether there would be another cut. Jones Lundin Beals' New York office is handling the search.
Havas' Arnold in Boston is not defending the account. Media duties, currently handled by Havas' Media Plannning Group in New York, are not affected by the review.
Goodyear spent $80 million on domestic advertising last year, but less than $25 million through June 2005, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
