The F.A., which faces the prospect of England being booted from the Euro 2004 championship if the problem persists, has drafted David Beckham, star England and Manchester United midfielder, to ask for tolerance and respect from the fans. In recorded messages that will be broadcast before England's next two games (against Serbia June 3 and Slovakia June 11), Beckham will suggest, among other things, that England fans not boo during the playing of the opposing team's national anthem.
