Three shops on the West Coast are among the four competing for Weider Nutrition’s advertising account, with spending estimated at $12-15 million, sources said last week.

Pitching the account are Butler, Shine & Stern, Sausolito, Calif.; GMO/Hill Holliday, San Francisco; VitroRobertson, San Diego; and Arian Lowe & Travis, Chicago, sources said. Presentations are taking place throughout the month.

The Salt Lake City company markets energy drinks, bars, vitamins and sports nutrition supplements. Representatives there could not be reached for comment.
