BOSTON The Boston Globe said it is launching Sidekick, a tabloid section billed as “your guide to a better day.”

The publication will appear weekdays and offer tips on entertainment, shopping and dining, along with an enhanced critic’s guide to what’s on TV, more comics and puzzles and new interactive features that represent a novel collaboration between the newspaper and its Boston.com affiliate.
