The holiday shopping season may be six months away, but for retailers and ad agencies it’s never too early to figure out ways to get more customers.
A recent survey conducted by Leo Burnett suggests the key to e-commerce is to get online shoppers to fall in love with your Web site. The survey of 3,336 consumers who have purchased items online ranged from shoppers who buy everything online to those who shop online but prefer the mall.
The study broke down Web shoppers from the “E-Namored,” who represent just 1 percent of the population but account for 39 percent of online spending, to those dubbed “Not my style,” who occasionally shop online but prefer the mall.
