LOS ANGELES Democratic presidential hopeful Richard Gephardt on Thursday broke a 30-second spot in South Carolina that features an endorsement from Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.).
In the commercial, Clyburn says he’s seen the candidate’s “concern and commitment up close. As Democratic leader, he fought for Clinton’s economic plan that helped create 22 million jobs. Together, we stood up for middle-class families against NAFTA and the China trade deal.” Clyburn concludes by saying the Missouri representative “will be a president South Carolina can count on.”
