BOSTON Gearon Hoffman shifts gears in its latest TV campaign for Tufts Health Plan.

A quartet of 30-second spots breaking this week uses the umbrella theme “I have a plan” to stress individual empowerment. The commercials present average people who take control of their medical situations (fighting diabetes and cancer, getting through a high-risk pregnancy, working back into shape) thanks to Tufts.

Ads take the form of understated, soft-focus testimonials, backed by a soothing new-age-style piano soundtrack.
