NEW YORK DDB New York has made four hires in its creative department, including Karen Sullivan, who has been named to the new position of director of creative services, effective immediately.

Sullivan, 32, reports to Lee Garfinkel, the shop’s chairman and chief creative officer, as well as co-executive creative directors John Russo and John Staffen. She will be responsible for creative department management and recruiting. Prior to taking this position, she was vice president and director of creative services at the defunct Publicis Groupe agency D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in New York, which was also Garfinkel’s and Russo’s most recent home.
