Witherspoon Advertising & Public Relations has injected humor into a new ad campaign for the Dermatology & Laser Center of Fort Worth, Texas.
Rather than rely on the standard shots of pretty models and white-haired physicians, the Fort Worth shop goes for laughs in outdoor and print ads in an attempt to reduce the stigma associated with cosmetic procedures.
One out-of-home message is: “When Hairy left Sally.” Print advertising continues the wordplay with “Hair today, thong tomorrow” and, for tattoo removal, “Isn’t it time you got something off your chest?”
Credits go to the agency’s Carol Glover, creative director; Tracy Fannin, art director; and Kevin Miller, copywriter.
Witherspoon’s director of public relations, Heather Senter, said, “The strategy was to create a personality for the center and also bring dermatology treatments to a level that everyone feels comfortable with and can relate to.”
The campaign targets the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
