"Fruit Guys" Make Comeback

DALLAS--The Richards Group reprises the role of funny guys wearing fruit suits in a new holiday spot for Fruit of the Loom.

The 15-second spot breaking Nov. 18 on national network and cable television shows the Fruit Guys running and tumbling downhill in the snow bearing armloads of underwear and socks. The Dallas agency said the characters will make "periodic appearances" in the client's advertising in the future, although plans are to continue with the branding initiative begun this summer under the tag "Good days start with Fruit of the Loom."
