They may look hale and hearty. But that’s not how lots of freshmen feel, according to the new edition of an annual poll by UCLA. The national survey found students’ ratings of their own health at “record lows.” On their physical state, 55.2 percent judged themselves above-average or in the highest 10 percent versus others their age. That’s down from 56.4 percent the previous year and sharply lower than the all-time high of 64.3 percent, recorded in 1986.
