Fresh Look Eyes Grey Unit, KB+P

NEW YORK Contact lens manufacturer CIBA Vision is considering Grey's Healthy Grey and MDC Partners' Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners for global duties on its Fresh Look brand of fashion contact lenses, sources said.

The brand of color contact lenses had been handled by Grey's Ericsson Fina before CIBA awarded the account on a project basis to Margeotes|Fertitta + Partners. CIBA did not invite MF+P to participate in the pitch, sources said.

Final presentations for the account, estimated to be worth $20-25 million, are scheduled for next week, sources said.

CIBA's 02 Optix, Night and Day and Focus Dailies, as well as lens solutions brands, all handled by Grey, are not in play, according to sources.

CIBA, a division of Novartis, is headquartered in Duluth, Ga. Agencies referred calls to the client, who could not be reached for comment.

The company spent about $10 million on ads for Fresh Look in the U.S. last year, according to Nielsen Monitor plus.
