French Wins Clio Lifetime Achievement Award

NEW YORK Creative director Neil French has been named the 2003 Clio Lifetime Achievement Award laureate. British-born French, 59, began as a creative director at Ogilvy & Mather in 1983. He left to become vice chairman and group creative director of The Ball Partnership. He rejoined Ogilvy in 1992 as a regional creative director for Ogilvy's Asian offices. In 1997, he was named worldwide creative director of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. That year he was chairman of Clio's executive jury. He retired in December. He will be given the award at the Clio Festival Week in Miami, May 18-21. Past honorees include David Abbot and Tony Kaye.
