NEW YORK Fox Sports said it plans to offer college football fans the option to purchase downloads of full-length games from the upcoming Bowl Championship Series, including the BCS National Championship Game set to air on Jan. 8.
Meanwhile for the first time, The AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, which Fox is broadcasting on Jan. 1, will be streamed live both on the Fox Sports hub on MSN and Direct2Drive.com.
The for-sale games, which also include the upcoming Cotton, Fiesta, Orange and Sugar Bowls, will be available for $2.99 each on MSN and Direct2Drive.com, as well as Apple's iTunes and Amazon's Unbox platforms. And starting Dec. 28, fans can also purchase a wide range of video packages featuring Fox Sports talent for all BCS games, including previews and condensed versions of completed contests.
Beyond the download-to-own content, Fox plans to feature a variety of free, bowl-related video content on MSN and Direct2Drive.
In addition to the live streaming of the Cotton Bowl, audiocasts of all four BCS games can be streamed on the site, and several pre- and post-game video clips will be viewable on demand.
