NEW YORK — Four more class-action lawsuits have been filed against Omnicom in the wake of recent stock volatility, bringing the number of suits to six.

The actions, announced yesterday, allege that the company made “material misrepresentations” to shareholders related to certain of the company’s accounting practices and its handling of the transfer of Internet assets into a newly-formed entity called Seneca.

The actions cite information published in last week’s page-one feature in The Wall Street Journal, which was critical of Omnicom.
