NEW YORK Foster’s Wine Estates has placed its domestic media planning and buying account into review, the client has confirmed.

The incumbent, Publicis Groupe’s Starcom, is not defending. The contenders include Aegis Group’s Carat and independent Horizon Media and possibly one undisclosed other agency, per sources.

Agency executives either could not be reached or declined comment.

The client spent slightly more than $15 million on advertising in 2005, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The review involves only the U.S.
