BOSTON Independent agency Fort Franklin said it has promoted Strick Walker to president. He had been account director at the 25-person shop in Boston.
"Fort Franklin is a group of incredibly talented people that also happen to love this business," said Walker. "We really get in the tank with our clients to break new ground and create great work. Our primary goal is to help our clients' business grow—awards happen along the way. It's truly an honor to represent this group of colleagues and friends."
Fort Franklin founder Marc Gallucci, who had been president, will now assume the role of CEO and continue as creative director of the 12-year-old agency.
"Strick is a creative, conceptual thinker, with guts and fortitude, all wrapped up in a good human being," said Gallucci. "Under pressure in this business, you quickly see how well a person performs. Strick earned my trust from the start."
Prior to Fort Franklin, Walker, 32, worked at Havas' Arnold in Boston on Volkswagen of America, the shop's showpiece account. Before Arnold, he worked in New York at WPP Group's Young & Rubicam on the U.S. Postal Service, Dannon and NBC.
Fort Franklin's client roster includes International Brands and ESPN.
