Tom Sharbaugh has resigned from the board of Leapnet following the sale of the unit he oversaw, Planet Leap, to Berlitz Globalnet in March.

Sharbaugh, 57, was formerly president of the Leap Partnership agency, which he joined in 1996 after holding top marketing positions at Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Anheuser-Busch. He helped Leap land A-B’s now $30 million Michelob account in October 1997.

Sharbaugh said he will continue to serve Leapnet as a consultant for clients including A-B.
