NEW YORK A former executive vice president of Just For Feet this week was sentenced to 20 months in prison for an advertising billings scheme that involved Converse, Adidas, Fila and Logo Athletic.

In the scheme, the Securities and Exchange Commission alleged, Don-Allen Ruttenberg asked the shoe companies to sign fraudulent letters claiming they had owed JFF $5 million in co-op advertising dollars when in reality they did not. The letters were then used to represent to the SEC that JFF had more revenue due than the company actually had.
