Ford Motor Co. is planning a millennium-oriented global advertising "roadblock" that is expected to launch in the second week of November with a new TV spot touting the automaker's "one world" approach to the automotive market.
The block--meaning the advertisement would appear on all channels at the same time, is expected to come in prime-time programming during the week of Nov. 8.
Details were not known, but the spot is said to be either two or three minutes long, and created by J. Walter Thompson, Detroit. It features people from throughout the world and includes only limited product placement. The focus is expected to be on the automaker's global breadth, according to sources familiar with the program. --Jeff Gree
