Florida College Selects Starmark for PR

ATLANTA Starmark International has won a review to provide public relations for the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University, the shop said.

In addition to public relations, the independent Fort Lauderdale, Fla., shop will provide marketing research, video production, collateral production and content for the school's Web page. Most of the work is designed to promote the college's research and faculty.

"Our world-class researchers are already making discoveries that are impacting the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine globally," said Margie Walden, director of development for the college. "We are excited to share our vision and communicate our advancements in these and many other areas of science and look forward to a long, fruitful relationship with Starmark."

The college plans to spend as much as $100,000 on the effort, according to Walden.

There was no incumbent for the account, and review contenders were undisclosed.
