Visit Florida’s seven-member task force has recommended that Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown become its new ad agency.

The choice, if approved by the Tal-lahassee, Fla., tourism group’s board of directors later this month, means an agency change after nine years.

YP&B of Orlando, Fla., competed against incumbent Fahlgren Benito of Tampa, Fla., and St. John & Partners in Jacksonville, Fla., for the estimated $10 million account.

Even after board approval, YP&B could fail to negotiate a contract with VF, according to client representative Tom Flanigan.

“The entity is under no compunction to go with the lowest bidder, and can make decisions based on what it feels to be the best business practices,” said Flanigan.
