Firstplus Financial Group is contacting agencies nationwide to solicit “ideas” and discuss unspecified “advertising alternatives,” sources said.
Spencer Dworkis, vice president of marketing at the Dallas-based consumer finance firm, said the company is talking to agencies about an “assignment,” but noted its estimated $50 million account will remain at in-house agency Strat-Im Advertising in Sacramento, Calif. Dworkis would not elaborate on the nature of the upcoming assignment.
Current national TV spots center around spokesman Dan Marino, star quarterback of the Miami Dolphins.
