DALLAS Sonic has added Firehouse to its roster for promotional work that will position the drive-in chain as “Your ultimate drink stop.”

The budget for Dallas-based Firehouse, which picks up previously unassigned work from the client, was not disclosed.

Sonic’s media spending is estimated at $145 million. Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City, Mo., remains lead agency, known for its “Sonic guys” who literally ad-lib their commercials while sitting in a minivan in front of a hand-held camera.
