NEW YORK Sean Finnegan, formerly Midwest director of OMD Digital, has been promoted to U.S. director of the Omnicom Group interactive media agency.

In the newly created role, Finnegan, 33, will oversee OMD Digital’s U.S. efforts ranging from search-engine marketing and cross-platform promotions to interactive television and gaming on behalf of clients like The Home Depot, Quaker and GE.

Finnegan joined OMD Digital when it was formed in 2002 with the merger of Omnicom’s digital media planning and buying assets.
