Continuing its recent success in the luxury marketing category, the Laidlaw Group has been hired for advertising chores by Water & Fire, a designer and importer of upscale European kitchen and bath furniture and accessories.
The first work from the Boston agency for the client, an image ad with no tagline, breaks in the November Boston magazine. Also upcoming are print and direct executions promoting a December event that will feature well-known local chefs cooking at the client's Newton, Mass., showroom. The tag for that effort: "Wine, dine, design."
Annual media spending will be in the six-figure range, targeting affluent home owners as well as architects and designers.
Water & Fire represents the shop's third luxury/lifestyle win this year. Over the summer, the Laidlaw Group added Rangine's Rakks, a supplier of high-end shelving, and Equinect, a company that provides seminars for horse-riding enthusiasts.
"It's just worked out that way for us," agency president Cindy Laidlaw said about her shop's specialty. "It's a great place for us to be."
