Fellers Marketing and Advertising has been selected to handle advertising and public relations for the first state museum devoted to the history of Texas.

The account of the $80 million Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, now under construction in Austin, was awarded following a review which involved the presentation of creative concepts.

Fellers will be charged with advertising the grand opening of the museum next spring, as well as creating branding, membership and promotional campaigns for the facility.

The agency’s contract with the State Preservation Board extends through August 2001, after which there is a renewal option.

The pink granite museum, a post-modern take on the state’s capital building, will feature a 400-seat Imax motion picture theater, a 200-seat storytelling facility and three floors of exhibit space.
