Fellers Marketing and Advertising in Austin, Texas, has acquired Houston public relations firm Anderson Communications, which it will merge with its pr unit.
Now dubbed Anderson/Fellers Public Relations, the Fellers division will bring added regional capabilities to the agency, primarily with community and employee relations, crisis management and environmental communications in the chemical, energy, financial, health and automotive industries, according to the shop.
Mel Anderson, a principal in the new venture, said he discussed the merger for the past year with Fellers president Doyle Fellers.
