$20 Mil. Push Positions Kibu.com as More Than a Bubblegum Site
SAN FRANCISCO–The teenage years are universally viewed as the toughest for girls, especially with advertisers and Hollywood telling them they need to grow up immediately.
Now, one Web site is aiming to give teen girls a place on the Internet where they can bond. The site, Kibu.com, is being plugged in a series of print and online ads by FCB Worldwide’s San Francisco office.
Shannon Corrigan, client brand marketing director, said the $20 million effort is designed to get girls to log on to a site that can help them deal with their issues without trivializing them.
