FCB Worldwide has acquired the Italian direct-marketing agency Compagnia del Marketing Diretto, which will join its interactive unit, FCBi.

FCB also has taken a minority stake in its FCB Slovakia affiliate. The agency did not disclose terms of either transaction Friday.

“Europe continues to be a critically important area for our ongoing global expansion,” said Brendan Ryan, chief executive of FCB, a unit of True North Communications. “And with these two deals, we’re focused on two primary areas of this market–digital marketing and central Europe.”
