LOS ANGELES – New Line Cinema is counting on fan club groupies to swoon and squeal over its upcoming movie Eight Seconds to Glory. In a targeted direct marketing move, New Line will mail postcards to some 600,000 members of The Luke Perry Fan Club and clubs for country and western acts Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn and McBride & The Ride, hoping to drum up a buzz over their roles in the film.
In Glory, Perry stars as Lane Frost, a real-life, bull-riding champion whose career rise cost him his life.
