NEW YORK Wunderman said it has named Steve Harrison creative director and chairman of its U.K. operations and the agency's first worldwide creative director. Both are new titles at the WPP Group-owned company.

He had been managing director and creative partner at Harrison Troughton Wunderman in London.

Harrison's initial focus will be the internal reorganization of U.K. operations. As worldwide creative director, he will concentrate on assisting key offices and creative hubs, including Frankfurt, Germany; Beijing; Mumbai, India; Sydney, Australia; and New York.

"Steve's passion for great creative is unrivaled and his trademark style has led him to win more Lions Direct trophies than any other creative director in the world," said Daniel Morel, chairman and CEO of Wunderman, in a statement.

Under his leadership, HTW won the inaugural Cannes Lions Direct Grand Prix in 2002 (for the U.K.'s Automobile Association) and in four years has picked up 12 Lions.
