DALLAS Kimberly-Clark named former PepsiCo executive Don Quigley president of North American customer development in a move designed to strengthen the company’s retail business.

Quigley will succeed Bruce Paynter, who has been named president of K-C’s newly created North American baby care unit.

At PepsiCo, Quigley carried the title vice president of consumer development. He was responsible for $2.2 billion in annual sales for all PepsiCo brands, and played a role in combining the Pepsi-Cola, Quaker Oats and Frito-Lay sales teams into a single unit, according to K-C.
