Having established its credentials as an incubator for young creative talent, the Miami Ad School has revealed its plans for a “Boot Camp for Account Planning,” which will commence next January.
The 12-week course is being chaired by Douglas Atkin, who is executive vice president and director of account planning at Wells BDDP in New York. Other instructors include Hugh Duthie (TBWA Chiat/Day), Pam Scott (Goodby, Silverstein & Partners) Mark Barden (Black Rocket) and Lee Daley (Amster Yard), among others.
The first class will have a maximum of 20 students and their final presentations will be critiqued by a group led by Atkin and Jane Newman of New York’s Merkley Newman Harty.
The school requires aspiring campers to have a college degree and some agency exposure.
