EuroPResence, a German publicity and marketing communications company, has opened its first U.S. office in Boston.

The outpost, EuroPResence USA, is helmed by Edna Kaplan, who plans to service several regional clients and troll the marketplace for opportunities in high-tech, healthcare and education. The shop specializes in guiding U.S. corporations that want to do business in Europe, providing country-specific public relations, marketing, sales channel development, human resources and accounting services. Kaplan had been with her own firm, KOGS Communications.

Formed by Ute Zimmerman in 1997 in Frankfurt, Germany, the agency counsels clients such as VA Linux, nCipher and Enigma.
