ESPN's Gerber to Head Collegiate Sports

NEW YORK ESPN said it has named Chuck Gerber executive vice president of collegiate sports programming, a new position.

Gerber will oversee all ESPN and ABC college event broadcasts, the 24-hour college sports network ESPNU and ESPN Regional Television.

He was previously evp and general manager of ESPN Regional Television. Gerber will relocate from Charlotte, N.C., to ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol. Conn., and report to John Wildhack, svp of programming acquisitions and strategy.

At the same time, Len DeLuca was named senior vice president of programming and acquisitions.
