NEW YORK–ESPN will re-launch the 24-hour sports news network ESPNNEWS on Sept. 7, fusing both video and the interactivity of ESPN.com.

The key elements include a continuous ticker that runs on the bottom of the screen during commercial breaks that carries sports scores in real time, statistics, injury reports and rotisserie league information.

“ESPN is committed to serving sports fans, providing them with the very best in instantaneous sports news and information,” said president George Bodenheimer in a prepared statement.
