To bolster its creative reputation, Earle Palmer Brown has appointed Lance Mald chief creative officer and managing partner. He comes to the shop from Campbell-Ewald/West, where he was evp, executive creative director.

Mald, 46, was at Campbell-Ewald’s Los Angeles office for five years, where he managed 30 staffers. While there, he worked on the DIRECTV na tional TV campaign, which featured NFL stars such as Jerry Rice and Troy Aikman being wheeled in carts by super market customers.

In the new position, Mald will oversee the New York-based shop’s offices here and in Washington, D.C.,
